Kristen Letkeman, BA

she/her/hers

Kristen is a Student Research Assistant with the Childhood Adversity and Resilience (CARe) Research Team. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology in 2011, at the University of Manitoba. She has completed her Pre-Master of Social Work in 2022 and is now a student in the Advanced Level Master of Social Work program at the University of Manitoba. Kristen has worked on the front line of the social service field for the past 13 years in the realm of child welfare, mental health, and substance use dependence.

Kristen’s main research interests include mental health and substance use prevention, intervention and advocacy, child maltreatment and resilience, children’s rights, and social justice.
